When I was reading through the story, the part that really stuck out to me was when the father came to realize that he had made himself remember an event in a way that was different from how it played out. I feel that we are all culprits of this at some point. It’s hard to remember what actually happened; it’s much easier to remember what is convenient at the time. What’s convenient and what’s true could even be as different as writing an essay is to filming a video.
    When producing an essay, you only have to think about the words that need to be said. When filming a video, even if you are just reading off a well written script, it’s a lot more hands on and involved. Not only do you have to think about the words that need to be said, but you have to think about how you are going to say those words. It’s a huge stack of responsibilities that often calls for more than one take to get it right.
